Ashley Hicks was born in 1963 and trained at the Architectural Association and worked briefly with his father, interior designer David Hicks, before starting his own practice designing interiors and furniture.

As well as his own designs, he has created new collections of DAVID HICKS BY ASHLEY HICKS fabrics and carpet. He is inspired by a wide range of passionate interests, everything from Ancient Greece to Polynesian tribal art.
